Colleen and Wade Kollberg left a message on February 4, 2016:
Dick was very special to our family, as was Terry. Over the years, we have always felt safer and quietly looked after , knowing that he was next door at all times. We will miss his kind smile, his updates on the family, especially what the grandkids are up to, the Christmas lights, the soft glow of his television from his front room window on cold winter nights. We will miss his presence over the fence during the summer months, his collecting a stray dog or two of ours when one of our children or their friends may have forgotten to latch the gate to the backyard fence! It will be hard not to see him starting up his snowplow all bundled up, helping neighbors clear sidewalks and driveways in the morning after a snowfall year after year. We will miss the coming and going of his family, the grandchilden riding bikes to Grandpa's house for a visit, hopping off their bikes with a smile as they enter his home for a visit. As our family reflects on all that he meant to us, it occurs to us that we have been very blessed to have had Dick and Terry as our neighbors -being in our home for over 15 years. We will miss him dearly...
