Sorry this is so late. My family and I have been trying to reach Father via mail and I only discovered his obituary today. Father Fabian played a big role in my life and the life of my family. My father worked on highway construction and our family moved to Hardin when I was twelve. Father Fabian organized barbecues and outings for construction families to make us feel welcome in the area. I returned to Hardin as an adult, to visit and Father graciously let me stay with him. We had some downhill ski outings to Red Lodge Mountain and fishing trips to the Bighorn River. Father had a solid faith and a bigger than life personality. Although Father Fabian is gone, I grieve for him and am thankful to have known this kind man. I hope heaven has ski slopes with fresh powder and long runs for Father to spend eternity.
Fr. Fabian was a wonderful priest. Always kind with a gentle soul. Rest in peace. You surely were father to a large flock. Your job is now done and it is time to rest. See you in heaven!
Sending our prayers he was a wonderful person and father married us
Father was a great man, one of a kind. He was such a help to my family during difficult and good times. We loved his visits, his guidance, and his sense of humor. We indeed missed him when he left Hardin. We send our love and know he will continue to watch over us. Thank you, Father, for everything. Rest easy now, you have earned your wings.
You will be missed. God Bless. RIP
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
Father Fabian was a wonderful man - involved in the community of Hardin and a friend to all.
We missed seeing him after he moved away,
We weren't of his faith; however, he was a dear friend.
May the Lord welcome home His servant Father Fabian.
Well done Faithful Servant
Father Fabian was instrumental in my life, I was sad to hear of his passing. He had a full and beautiful life and was loved by many and his reach to me and my family will never be forgotten. Father Fabian was the patient father who answered all our questions, he allowed us to explore the sanctuary, understand the importance of seeing our lord and his mother as more than the past, he nurtured our faith, promised us hope, and became a fixture in our spiritual lives. I wouldn't be the person I am without him. God Bless you Father and you will be in my prayers.
We were saddened to hear of Father Fabian's passing. He married and buried many of us in the Bailey family from Rosebud Creek. He officiated at our wedding 51 years ago on June 29 at St. Joseph's, and we stayed in touch all of these years. I didn't know until I read his obituary that we shared a birthday. We are sure he is at peace, but his humor and personality will be missed. God Bless.

As a mission church, St. Mary's in Custer, Montana was under Father Fabians guidance for many years. We loved his quirky sense of humor and conviction of our risen Lord. See you later, Father Fabian.
I was very saddened to hear of Father’s passing. He was a big part of my family. He and my Dad, Elmer Jackson, were great friends! He baptized all of my children and was instrumental in helping us adopt our son. He always had a joke for me and always took time to visit! He also grew the most beautiful African violets and gave me several. My condolences to his family and friends in Wisconsin from one of his families in Montana.
