DENOW, REGINA

Regina L. Denow, entered Eternal Life on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the age of 92. She was born on March 14, 1917, in the Town of Ellington, Outagamie County, Wisconsin, to Robert and Alma (Pingel) Woldt.

Regina married Arthur C. Denow on August 24, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1977. She lived in Racine until moving to Appleton one year ago. Regina worked at Porters Furniture, was active in the Racine Lutheran High School Ladies Guild, and volunteered at the Thrift Shop. Her hobbies included knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed her birthday club, playing cards, line dancing and bowling. Regina was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Racine.

She is survived by a son, Dennis (Monta) Denow, Bangkok, Thailand; a daughter, Nancy Cooper, Roseville, Michigan; grandson, Michael Rutledge, Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Michelle (Rick) Wingert, Roseville, Michigan; and great granddaughter, Ashley Ables.

Also surviving are a brother, Earl (Dianne) Woldt, Appleton; sisters, Arlene Agnew, Elaine Plamann and Dorothy Favorite, all of Appleton; sisters-in-law, Florence Woldt, Neenah, and Joyce Woldt, Waupaca; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. Preceding her in death, besides her parents and husband, are brothers, Harold Woldt, Orvin (Joyce) Woldt and Gilbert Woldt; and sisters, Viola (Chet) Denow and Ione (Harold) Choudoir.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010, at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2220 East College Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Martin E. Koeller and Rev. Timothy Seaubaugh officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Carolina Manor for their loving care.
