Raymond H. Langner

September 6, 1941 — August 3, 2001

Age 59, passed away at his home on Friday, August 3, 2001. Ray was born in Winchester on September 6, 1941, son of the late Henry and Sylvia (Peters) Langner. For over thirty years Ray was employed in the maintenance department at Appleton Papers. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing cars on the quarter-mile at W.I.R. In addition to his cars, Ray also enjoyed spending time doing just about anything outdoors.

Ray is survived by his wife, Frances (Sullivan) Poitras Langner whom he married on May 9 of this year. He is further survived by two daughters: Tina (Mike) Gilbertson of Appleton and their children Kayla, Stephen, and Jordan; and Teri (Phillip) Mann of Greenville and their children Jeffrey and Tiffany; a brother: Don (Myra “Mike”) Langner of LaFeria, Texas and Appleton; two sisters: Dorothy (Owen) Gore of Dale and Ruth (Ron) Manteufel of Neenah. Ray is also survived by Fran’s children: Debbie (Don) Harwood of Eureka, California; Mark (Lori) Poitras of Black Creek; Rodger Poitras and his special friend Sarah of California; Ray Poitras and his special friend Nancy of Appleton.

There will be no visitation and a private family service is being planned.

The family would like to thank everyone at ThedaCare At Home. Your level of concern and professionalism was wonderful! You made it possible for Ray to stay at home with those he loved. Thank you all so very much.
