Ralph Shotola

February 24, 1918 — November 10, 2002

Age 84, of Appleton, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton on Sunday, November 10, 2002. He was born to the late Joseph and Ida Shotola in Milwaukee, WI on February 24, 1918. He entered the Army in June of 1941 before the War and was Honorably discharged in October of 1945. He married Marie Trinko on August 18, 1951 in Milwaukee, and have resided in Appleton ever since. He began working with Appleton Paper Company in October until his retirement in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the United Paperworker International Union, Local Union #469.

Survivors include his wife, Marie of 51 years; son: James (Thelma) Treiber, Appleton;
grandchildren: John C. Daul, Bowie, MD, Tracy M. Treiber, Marquette, MI, Timothy A. Treiber, Appleton; brother Merton (Marvella) Shotola, Milwaukee; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Charles, Raymond, and Arthur.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with Pete Reinl as officiant. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the time of service. Military Honors will follow the service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
