Phyllis Meyer

Phyllis Meyer, age 88, passed away peacefully at Matthews of Appleton, on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Phyllis was born on May 12, 1928, in Appleton to the late Henry and Martha (Miskimmin) Meyer. She married Robert Meyer on December 18, 1948, in Appleton; he preceded her in death on October 30, 2013. Prior to raising her family Phyllis was employed as a telephone operator at Wisconsin Bell. She was a long-time member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and its choir; was a Pink Lady at St. Elizabeth Hospital; enjoyed needlepoint and drawing; and was well known as a caregiver to her neighbors, friends and family. Phyllis was a kind, compassionate, considerate and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Mike) Jensen, Stillwater, Minnesota; Pat (Mike) Fieweger, Williams Bay, Wisconsin; and Robert (Rita) Meyer, Kaukauna; her grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Jensen; Jennifer Jensen; Michael (Melissa) Fieweger; and Brian (Amanda) Fieweger; and her great grandchildren, Zachary and Morgan, Gwen, and Jackson. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert; her son, Henry Meyer; and her sisters, Jean (William) Wiegand, Jane (Art) Badtke and Beatrice (Harold) Schroeder.

Funeral services will be at NOON on Saturday, January 21, 2017, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Phyllis' name.
