Phyllis Marie Wilson

Phyllis Marie Wilson, 97, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Prairie Home Assisted Living.

Phyllis was born on August 25, 1917 to George and Amelia Zanger in Detroit, Michigan. On August 5, 1939 she married Norman C. Wilson in Detroit. Phyllis and Norman moved many times throughout the years for Norman's job and finally settled in the Appleton area to be near family. She was a wonderful mom, had many friends and was very loyal to everyone of them. Phyllis was a very spirited persona and was nicknamed “Philly” by her healthcare providers. She loved all the family pets, and a favorite charity was the F.V. Humane Society.

Phyllis will be sadly missed by her two daughters; Carol (Charles) Carmer and Donna (Frank) Dietz, of Appleton, grandchildren; Christen (Nigel) Heyn and Chad (Jamie) Carmer, Brad (Ann) Cullen and Greg (Shelley) Cullen, her great grandchildren; Alexandra and Elizabeth Heyn and Alexis and Sophia Carmer, Callie and Kirsten Cullen, Austin, Autumn and Ava Cullen, her nephew; Donald Nadeau and great nephew and niece; Donald (Elizabeth) Nadeau and Gaylin Nadeau. Her special friend, Julie, who visited every Thursday morning for the past 10 years… something Phyllis truly loved. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jean and her husband.

The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later time.

The family wishes to thank Prairie Home Assisted Living and staff for their wonderful care and wishes to express their gratitude to Theda Care Hospice, especially Nurse Mary and Ida.
