Brockish, Phillip G.
Appleton

Died on December 13, 2005. He was 81 years old.

He was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where he graduated from Regis College and Denver University. He was in the U.S. Marines from 1943-45 and 1951-52.

Phil taught high school for one year, worked for the C.I.A. and Sundstrand Aviation, and in 1988, after 28 years, retired from Kimberly-Clark where he worked in management development and human resources in Memphis, Neenah and Hendersonville, N.C.

Phil’s parents were Clara (Gwartney) and Maurice Brockish, both originally from eastern Kansas. His sister, Maurine Mulqueen (Chuck) lives in Denver. His brother, Bob (Carol) Brockish lives in Lafayette, Colorado.

In 1960, Phil and Marilyn Anne Miller were married in Denver. They enjoyed a loving and fulfilling life together. God gave them four children: Susan (Michael) O’Donnell, New Berlin, Wisconsin; Ellen (Michael) Comiskey, Waukesha, Wisconsin; Paul (Christina Kadzielawa) Brockish, Delafield, Wisconsin; and Beth (Scot) Junge, Madison, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren: Miles, Claire, Nina, Matthew, Rachel and Audrey.

Phil cherished his Christian faith, his family and his country. He took pleasure in helping members of his family and others. He liked sports, good music and outdoor activities. Home, church, the golf course, the mountains of Colorado and his fishing camp “up north” in Wisconsin were some of his favorite places.

He and Marilyn are members of St. Pius X Catholic Community in Appleton and Our Lady of Light Catholic Community in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was a member of Kiwanis Golden K, Fox Valley Golf Club and Spring Run at the Brooks.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2005, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St. Appleton, with Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

A memorial has been established – the Brockish Family Charitable Fund at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, Inc., at 4455 W. Lawrence St., P.O. Box 563, Appleton, WI 54912.

Phil died looking forward to entering eternal life in God’s heavenly kingdom.
