Peter Ng

Peter Ng, 70, of Appleton, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. Peter was born to the late Yum King and Sau Mui (Wong) Ng in China, but grew up in Hong Kong. He came to America in 1971 and later moved to Appleton, working at Thilmany Papers for over 30 years until his retirement. In 1973 he married Jane Moy in Appleton. Peter was very easy going, generous and made friends effortlessly. He retained many friends from working at Thilmany and enjoyed spending time with them during retirement. He loved to garden, planting many rose bushes for his wife and fruits and vegetables that he sold at the local farmers markets. He also loved to spend his leisure time fishing. Peter's family was the most important to him; he kept in close contact with his siblings and he always made sure he put his children's needs first.

Peter is survived by four children: Phillip Ng of Menasha; Karen Ng of Fort Collins, Colorado; Eric Ng of Appleton; and Ryan Ng of Appleton, his siblings; Rosemary Ng, Paul (Linda) Ng, Maple (Roy) Auyoung, sisters-in-law, Hsieh Hui Fen Ng, Winnie Ng and Sau Lai Ng, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Peter was preceded in death by his wife Jane, and siblings; Lawrence Ng, Simon Ng, Nai Wing Ng, Andrew Ng, Teresa Chiu.

The family invites friends and relatives to gather for a service for Peter on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Thomas Farrell officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

Peter's family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all of those who cared for him during his illness. They include the staff at Appleton Medical Center, especially the ICU nurses and staff including Dr. Aristigueta, Dr. Novak and Dr. Swanson. The family also expresses special gratitude to Dr. J.C. Anderson for his many years of dedicated care and the Care Team that was assigned to Peter more recently. We are forever grateful for the love and kindness we have been shown.
