My deepest condolences to the family of Peter Skaer. I have known Pete for many years and we were good friends and fishing partners for many years, mostly thru the 70's, 80's 90's. I have so many good memories of us fishing and having so much fun together. We were both very successful at the art of fishing with many limits to brag about. I was always amazed at his skill of woodworking and am a proud owner of one of his tables I will always cherish. I will miss him very much but will always love the memories of him. Gary Steiner

MITCHELL ANDERSON left a message on September 18, 2021:
We knew Pete for over 35 years, as the Skaers' summer home was next door to a good friend of ours on Lake Michigan in Sturgeon Bay. When we bought our friend's house, the Skaers became our neighbors, and our friends. Pete was an incredible fellow, and loved talking about baseball and fishing, which he had a passion for. He was also an impressive woodworker, and couldn't wait to show us the photos of his newest creations. He loved his dashunds, and our odd collection of dogs too, one of which he located in the middle of the night that had gotten lost along the shoreline. Our kids never forgot what he did that night. He was a kind fellow who always asked about our family members and never failed to lend a hand whenever he could. Can't believe Pete's gone; we'll miss him alot. .--Mitch and Jodi Anderson, Sturgeon Bay
