I am so sorry to hear about Ms. Gilbert's passing. I was a piano student of hers for over ten years (1989-1999), and she was an instrumental part of my life. She was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed.
The Kaufenbergs left a message on July 19, 2009:
Dear Mary, Greg, Brooke, Lexia, Mark, Mick, and Jen, We are so sorry for the loss of Pauline. You all had such a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and grandma. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. We so admired how she lived her life. She was independent, yet loved you all so much and spent such quality time in your lives. She had a very special spot in my and Joe's heart, as well as our kids. We spent many a happy hour or evening sociaizing, laughing, and of course drinking with her around Greg and Mary's kitchen table. We also learned to love monkey bread with her. Your mother was always deeply interested in our lives and the interests and activities of Justin, Jeremy and Mikayla. They often referred to her as grandma Pauline. Many people will deeply miss your mother and you should be so proud of this. God has already welcomed her with open arms. We love you. Col, Joe, Justin, Jeremy, and Mikayla
