Patricia T. Erickson

September 8, 1925 — June 23, 2014

Patricia T. Erickson, age 88, of Kimberly, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Parkside Care Center. Patricia was born on September 8, 1925 in Montana, daughter of the late Ben and Mildred (Egildson) Tessin. She was married to John Erickson at All Saints Episcopal Church on February 22, 1947. John passed away in 1994.

After her love for family and friends, she had a passion for all books and libraries. She worked at Conkey's Book Store for many years, cherishing her time there with her fellow employees. She also loved music, especially the violin in which she learned to play in her later years. Patricia enjoyed playing bridge with her longtime friends.

Patricia is survived by her son: Tom (Mary Fran) Erickson; and daughters: Lisa (Tom) Aerts and Jennifer (Dave) Yingling. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Ron (Kathy) Erickson, Andrew (Katie) Erickson, Matt (Special friend Chad Calmes) Erickson, Laura Aerts, Josh Aerts, Nick (Alyssa) Aerts, Daniel (Special friend Megan Russell) Yingling and John Paul Yingling; her great grandchildren: Jessica, Bradley, Everett, Alexis , Kherington, Watson, and Lincoln; her nephews: David (Cindy) Van Linn and his children John and Jenna; and her nieces: Mary Jane Schulze and her daughter Shannon, Sue (Fritz) Neuber, and Jan Charles. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Erickson; sister: Dorothy (Ray) Van Linn; brother: Bill (Anne) Tessin; sister-in-law Margaret Solberg and niece Sandra Solberg.

A memorial service for Patricia will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 100 N. Drew St., with Father Patrick Twomey officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund benefiting Fibromyalgia research has been established. The family would like to thank Kathy Erickson, who gave Patricia her wonderful home care and Deloris Wiseman, who provided her with spiritual guidance.

The family would also like to thank the staff at Parkside Care Center and Theda Care Hospice for the care they provided Mom and the family.
