Patricia A. Locy

March 18, 1930 — October 27, 2016

Patricia “Patsy” Ann Locy, age 86, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at home. Patricia was born in Appleton on March 18, 1930, daughter of the late Raymond and Marion (Geenen) Murphy. She graduated from Freedom High School before moving to Appleton and working for Home Mutual and Kimberly Clark. In 1951, Patricia married Dewain Locy. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage and together raised five children. Patricia was a hardworking and dedicated mother before going to work as a travel agent for several companies, including: Nationwide Travelers, Huettl Tours and Wery Travel. Patricia always loved traveling and camping with her family, especially trips to Florida and visits to Disney World. Recently, she looked forward to daily mass and breakfasts with friends at Perkins, Schreiner's Diner and McDonald's Restaurant.

Patricia is survived by her children: Diane (Mike) Reddy, Colleen (Rich) Reitzner, Ray (Kris) Locy, Sue (Mark) Murphy and Lori (Karen Davis) Locy; grandchildren: Ryan (Meaghan) Reddy, Kelly (James) Konkle, Brad (Lindsey) Reitzner, Shane (Hannah) Reitzner, Craig (Susan) Locy, Scott Locy, Amy (Kyle) Martell, Jason (Cindy) Murphy, Alicia (Dan) Marx and Brent Murphy; eight great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Alice (Bob) Weyers, Jim (Betty) Locy, Jerry (Mary Ellen) Locy, Tom (Deb) Locy and Mary Gloudemans. She is further survived by her special cousins: Delores Fischer, Mary Therese Hill, and Mike and Mary Therese Maulick and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Dewain Locy; parents: Raymond and Marion Murphy; special uncle: Henry C. Geenen; her mother and father-in-law: Henry and Geraldine Locy; brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald (Floss) Locy, Dorothy (Harold) Bissing, David (Ruth) Locy, Delores (Gene) Driessen, John (Yvonne) Locy and Roger Gloudemans; great grandchild, Brayden Murphy. She was also preceded in death by her special cousins, Ted Fischer and Jim Hill and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.

The Funeral Liturgy for Patricia will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH (500 W. Marquette St., Appleton) with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME (537 N. Superior St., Appleton) from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and again at CHURCH on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Patricia's name.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Darlene Pluger for her friendship and compassion. Also, thank you to Dr. Thomas Rowell for helping the family with treatment for Patricia when nobody else would.

Mom-we have lost you twice, once to Alzheimer's and now to God. May your second journey be one of peace and happiness with Dad. Get some rest until we meet again! You will always be in our hearts.
