Pamela J. Davis, 68, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Pam was born on March 18, 1942 to Herbert and Ursola (Wallo) Dohrman in Two Rivers. She was an elementary Phy Ed teacher for many years in the Appleton School District. She worked for a local bank as a bookkeeper for 20 years until her retirement. Pam was a very creative and fun loving person, truly a woman ahead of her time, as she rode a motorcycle, was a great water-skier, and even taught her daughters how to handle snakes and other creatures. She loved the color purple!! Most of all she was a grandmother and she always loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending all of their school and sporting events. Pam was a volunteer for the Appleton School District, the First Congregational UCC and the public library. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the First Congregational UCC.
Pam is survived by her daughters; Heather (Todd) Retzlaff, Oshkosh, Harmony (Rick) Getsfried, Appleton, 4 grandchildren; Keegan and Kyla Retzlaff and Mason and Sebastian Getsfried, her wonderful sister Diantha (Hugh) Corbett, nephew and nieces; Scott (Liz) Corbett, Karla (John) Hammond, and Heidi (Mike) Kanieski, her former husband James Davis, cousins, other relatives and friends. Pam was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (724 East South River St. Appleton) with Pastor Jane Anderson officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at the Church. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established in her name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Elizabeth's hospital ICU doctors and staff especially, Courtney and Danielle.
