Age 71, passed away in Appleton on Sunday, September 11, 2005. She was born in White Lake, WI on April 2, 1934, daughter of the late Flavus and Emma (Fairchild) Tordoer. Omeida graduated from Appleton High School in 1952. She lived in Houston during the 80’s and 90’s and enjoyed catering for a specialty grocery market. She was an excellent cook and made the holidays very special. Knitting, embroidering, watching the Packers, and watching her grandchildren playing high school sports were among her favorite hobbies.

Omeida is survived by her children: Lisa Tordoer of Appleton and Craig Tordoer of Plymouth; grandchildren: Michelle and Troy Tordoer, both of Menasha; brothers: Jack (Mary) Fairchild and Ronnie (Mary Lou) Fairchild; sisters: Peggy Holcomb and Judy Kaddatz. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Omeida is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Mary Perrault and Wanda Fairchild; and a very special friend, Doris Grosskopf.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2005, at MEMORIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 803 East College Avenue, Appleton, with Rev. Dr. Charles Valenti-Hein officiating. Friends will be received at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.

A memorial fund in Omeida’s name is being established.
