Ole Dean Smith

Ole Dean Smith, age 45, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Appleton Medical Center. He was born in Bemijdi, Minnesota on July 31, 1964, the son of the late Lumar Smith and Ella (Carroll) Morris. In 1994, Ole married the former Lorraine Johnson in Menasha. Throughout his life, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and camping. Ole is survived by his wife Lorraine Smith of Appleton; a son, Brandon Smith and his fiancée Jennifer and their son Kyren; a daughter, Tiffany Smith; his mother, Ella (Cedric) Morris of Bagley, Minnesota; brothers and sisters, Tracey (Jerry) Annonson, Sherry Greenman, Rusty Greenman, Dwain Smith, Rhonda Smith, and Melissa Smith, as well as many half-brothers and half-sisters. He was preceded in death by his father Lumar Smith and by a sister Shelly Anderson. Funeral Services for Ole will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton, with Rev. Ken Griesbach of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Twelve Corners Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established in Ole's name.
