McDonald, Norbert J.

Norbert James McDonald, age 91, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2010. He was born April 28, 1919, the son of the late James and Barbara (Burkart) McDonald. Norbert married his loving wife, Jane Fessenden on October 12, 1939. Norbert was a conductor for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for 38 years. He was the proud exalted ruler of the Elks Club of Kaukauna. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and was a wonderful dancer. Norbert was also an accomplished handyman. He loved building cottages and was an avid dog lover.

Norbert is lovingly survived by his wife, Jane McDonald; children: Robert “Bobby #84” McDonald, Mary Lutz and her special friend, Alan Hankemier,; grandchildren: Scott, Teri (Tom), Jim, Diane (Ron), Cynthia, Pete (Jodi), Susan (Kevin), Dan (Vicki), Troy (Michelle), Tracy (Todd), Tom, Samantha, Brooke (Nate), Brittany, Courtney; great-grandchildren: Heather (Ron), Nicole, Heidi, Nate (Amy), Brittany, Andy (Cassey), Miranda, Nora, Sam, Kayla, Tristin, Anthony, Kyle, Kaylee, Caitlin; great-great granddaughter, Hailey and son-in-law, James Gregori. Norbert is preceded in death by his daughters: Bette Gregori and Barbara Melzer, a brother, three sisters and numerous relatives.

Funeral services for Norbert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Norbert's name has been established.
