Nora B. “Sally” Holdcroft, age 95, died on Sunday, February 12, 2006, at Rennes Health Care Center. Sally was born on April 6, 1910, in Mohawk, Tennessee, to the late John Amos and Minnie (Dyer) Crittenden. She married James “Jim” Holdcroft on April 12, 1928, in Salix, Iowa; he preceded her in death on October 29, 1997. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and especially enjoyed the time she spent cooking for her family. She enjoyed traveling and was active in her church’s womens circles. Survivors include; her daughter, Lola (Michael) Huffaker, Princeton, Illinois; her son, Donald Holdcroft, Hortonville; her grandchildren Tammy Swanson, Kathy (Hank) Carrico, Connie (Bill) Polke, Ken Holdcroft, Diane Kressin and Tom (Lori) Holdcroft; her great grandchildren: Ashley Swanson, Megan Polke, Sean (Chris) O’Donnell, Shannon (Jordan) Kraft, Sarah Kressin, Katie Kressin, Aaron Kressin, Cassandra Holdcroft, Kaelyn Holdcroft and Karissa Holdcroft; and her great great grandchildren, Kevin and Joey Kraft. She is further survived by her sister, Pearl Jauron, Earling, Iowa, and her sister-in-law, Allison Holdcroft, Salix, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her sister Grace Holdcroft. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 325 East Franklin Street, Appleton, with Rev. Kent Ingram officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. A memorial has been established in her name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Rennes Health Care Center and the Renaissance for their loving care.
