Nellie F. Swiderski

Nellie F. Swiderski, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2014 with her children by her side. The daughter of the late Anna (Solutruk) and William Chabra, she was born in Saugus, Massachusetts on December 28, 1924. Nellie married the late Raymond Swiderski in Peabody, Massachusetts in 1952. She enjoyed cooking, gardening (especially her roses) and sewing which she enthusiastically taught to her daughter. Nellie was employed at Pilgrim House Nursing Home in Peabody, Massachusetts for almost 20 years and loved the residents. Even as a resident at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, Nellie continued to care for the others who lived with her, making sure that the nurses gave them their glasses, or blankets to keep them warm.

Nellie is survived by her children; Joanne Mjos of Appleton, Wisconsin, and Robert Swiderski of Peabody, Massachusetts; her grandsons, Brandon (Lisa) Mjos of Appleton and Brian (fiancé Tashsa Strey) of Green Bay; and a very much loved great-grand daughter, Charisma. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Raymond, her son Raymond, her brother William (Marge), and her son-in-law Tim Mjos.

A memorial service for Nellie will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St. Menasha. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

Nellie was a gift and will be greatly missed by her family and by many people who lived and worked at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna. Words cannot express the thanks from Nellie's family to all the wonderfully caring people who have been Nellie's caregivers for the past 10 years. A special thank you to Dr. Jack Meyer who has been a continuing source of support for Nellie and her family.
