Babe was born on December 2, 1930 to Robert and Anna (Massie) Corey in Kimberly. On July 2, 1949 she was united in marriage to James Lux, they celebrated 69 years together. Babe was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards. In her younger years she was in bowling and pool leagues. She also enjoyed casino trips with her sister Jean. Babe was a very prayerful person and a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church for 55 years.
Babe is survived by her husband, James, four children; Deborah (James) Campbell, Gregory (Sue) Lux, Beverly (Bruce) Sherman, Julie (John) Herzfeldt, 13 grandchildren; Tammy (Chris), Brenda (Brian), Bonnie (Tim), James (Stephanie), Heather, Jason (significant other Tracy), Sarah (Mike), Corey (Robert), Jenny (Valdir), Jamie (Scott), Stacy (special friend Colin), Aaron (Sarah), and Adam, 16 great grandchildren, a sister Jean Makholm, a brother Robert (Sandy) Corey, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Babe was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Dorothy, Gilbert “Bud”, Bernetta “Bunny”, Raymond, Lee “Butch” and a great great grandchild Matthew.
The funeral liturgy for Babe will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr., with Fr. Jon Thorsen officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the Church. Interment will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Menasha. The family would like to thank the Cardiac Team, and the ICU staff at the Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Appleton. Memorials may be made to the St. Bernadette Catholic Church Restoration Fund.
