I will miss my Aunt Muriel. She and Aunt Evie, my crazy, funny aunts, made my childhood special, teaching me words like "zoonbeegan" for big bug. I know she is happy now surrounded by her husband Chet, the siblings who went before her, including my Mom, her pets, and even the thousands of monarch butterflies she helped. Her generous, lively qualities passed along to her children and grandchildren, who were in turn attentive to her when she needed them the past few years. She will not be resting in peace. She will be organizing holiday celebrations in heaven.
Whenever I visited Appleton I took my sister (now deceased) to visit Muriel; our cousin. She appreciated seeing us so much; I'll miss that.
Dan and I were so sorry to hear about your Mom, know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Our families had many good times over the years, we need to cherish those memories. Take care!
