Age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 22, 2002. Florence was born on September 8, 1915, daughter of the late Otto and Emma (Allen) Manthie. She married Charles Maloney, and they enjoyed many years of marriage, before he preceded her in death in 1981. Florence and Charlie owned and operated the Cinderella Ballroom. She loved working in her flower garden, quilting, playing sheepshead and traveling to their cottage in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Florence will be greatly missed by her children, Eddie (Kathy) Maloney, Menasha; Tom Maloney, Milwaukee; Mary Jo Finley, Little Chute; her brother, David Manthie, Oshkosh; her grandchildren, Jack Maloney, M.D., Milwaukee; Debra Sue Maloney Coenen, Appleton; and 3 step-daughters, Rita Malchow; Mickey Drexler and Mary Ann Hoeft. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her son, Gerald T. Maloney in 1975; 9 brothers and sisters, Royal; Adrian; John; Otto Jr.; Frank; Steven; Lucy; Virginia; Leone; and 5 step-children, Peggy Anderson; Charles Maloney, Jr.; Doug Maloney; Marie Dolan; and Edward R. Maloney. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at WICHMANN TRI COUNTY CHAPEL. The interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Oshkosh. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 25, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
