Milton Clyde Delforge

Milton “Clyde” Delforge, 82, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010 surrounded by his family at home.

Clyde was born on April 22, 1928 to Alvin and Clara (Reince) Delforge. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 until 1952 spending time in Korea. He worked as the store keeper for UW Oshkosh until his retirement in 1990. Clyde married Joanne Weber on July 5, 1975 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville, WI, and together they enjoyed traveling in the United States and abroad in pursuit of their family histories, and spending summers in Baileys Harbor. He grew up as a Green Bay Packer Fan and saw his first game in 1938 and held season tickets since 1952, spending many memorable times at the games. He was also a general sports trivia buff. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Peninsula Belgian American Club.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Joanne Delforge, Appleton, his sister, Bertha (Stan) Naze, Wausau, two sisters-in-law; Mary Jane Bublitz, Green Bay, Carol (Joseph) Krauth, Arlington, VA, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Bublitz

A Funeral Mass for Clyde will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE (1810 N. McDonald St. Appleton) with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors at the grave. Friends may call on Wednesday, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Gerald Falk and the staff of Theda Care at Home hospice for all their wonderful support.
