Mildred Neumann

July 14, 1918 — November 5, 2014

Mildred M. Neumann, 96, was called into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. She was born on the family farm in the Town of Greenville on July 14, 1918, the daughter of the late Dexter and Clara (Korth) Maas.

Mildred graduated from Appleton High School in 1936 and then from Bushey's Business College. She worked at Aid Association for Lutheran for several years. The family were members of Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church since 1921. It was there that Mildred married the love of her life, Kenneth Neumann, on April 20, 1940 and where she taught Sunday School and was an active member of the Ladies Aid for 65 years.

Kenneth preceded Mildred in death on May 20, 1985, after 45 wonderful years together.

Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed dancing, fishing, traveling, gardening, cooking, and baking.

Mildred is survived by a son; Gary (Christine) Neumann of New London, a daughter; Leta Krueger of Greenville, grandsons; Scott Krueger of Greenville, Eric (Angela) Neumann of New London, Ted (Kari) Neumann of Greenville, granddaughters; Rebecca (Dean) Ballmann of Brillion, Kara (Greg) Wichman of Bonduel, Sarah (Jason) Reed of Norfolk, Virginia, and Elizabeth Schomburg of New London, great grandchildren; Alex and Ashley (Travis Mannebach) Krueger, William and Pearce Ballmann, Alicia, Cody, Collin and Morgan Wichman, Maddox Neumann, Olivia, Grant and Elliott Neumann, and a great great grandson, Jase Mannebach, and many very special cousins. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, and his parents; Theodore and Emma Neumann and her son-in-law, Charles Krueger.

The Christian funeral for Mildred will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 E. Florida Ave., with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Entombment will be in the Highland Memorial Park. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund for Mount Olive is being established.

The family would like to thank the wonderful people who have touched Mildred's life including; Pastors David Bode, Robert Raasch, and Joel Zank; the caring and compassionate staff at Rennes Health Center; all who cared for Mildred at Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Hospital, Suzi and the staff at Theda Care Hospice and the Greenville First Responders.
