KLARNER, MILDRED I.

Mildred Klarner, 94, of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Rennes Health Care Center. She was born on January 31, 1916, in Combined Locks, the daughter of the late Emil and Helen (Dreger) Wegenke. Mildred married Ervin Klarner on April 17, 1936 at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton, he preceded her in death at May 27, 2004. Mildred was a devoted and faithful member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church and longtime member of the Ladies Aid. Ervin and Mildred loved camping and fishing all over the country.

She is survived by her daughter: Judy (Don) Meier; two grandsons: Bruce (Lisa) Meier, Oshkosh and Tim Meier, Appleton; four great grandchildren: Cassie and Calvin Meier; Brandon and Ryan Meier; great great granddaughter: Alea Zink Meier; sister-in-law: Mae Wegenke and her special nieces and nephews: Susan Ahlswede, Barbara Besch, Penny Murray, Ted Welson, Linda Laird, Sharon Kip, Jeff Huelsbeck and Monica Betters. Mildred was preceded in death by her two brothers: Melvin (Helen) Wegenke and George (Betty) Wegenke; three sisters: Delpine (Ray) Huelsbeck, Arline (Glen) Powell and Eunice (Bob) Hendricks; two nephews: Dick Wegenke and Mike Welson.

The funeral service for Mildred will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason Street, Appleton. The Rev. Thomas Mielke will be officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of service. As an expression of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.
