Mildred H. "Millie" Neimy

Millie Neimy, age 94, of Kimberly, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on May 4, 1920 in Escanaba, Michigan to the late Frederick and Olivia (Arnold) Hirn. On December 28, 1946, Millie married Robert Neimy in Escanaba. She was a member of the Kimberly Homemakers and Craft Group. Millie volunteered for over 25 years at Westside Elementary School. She enjoyed taking classes at Fox Valley Technical College. Millie had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir in Kimberly and Monona Grove. She enjoyed music, reading, sewing, and collecting hats over the years. Her family meant the world to her, and they enjoyed camping in the northwoods together and listening to her life-time stories that she loved to share with them.

Millie is survived by her children Robert Neimy, Susan Gask, William Neimy, Rick (Linda) Neimy, and Julie (Brian) Marotz; daughter-in-law Mary Neimy; grandchildren Eric Neimy, Ryan (Hayley) Neimy, Matthew Neimy, and Austin Neimy; Jason Gask and Kevin Gask; Mallory (fiancé Mikal Sauer) Neimy; Terra (Dale Nunn) Marotz and Nathan Marotz; great granddaughter Alayna Sauer; sisters Geraldine Mitchell-Belland and Jeanne (Joe) Schramm; and sister-in-law Phyllis Hirn. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Millie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Neimy, brother Fred Hirn, and brothers-in-law Bob Mitchell and Neil Belland.

The funeral liturgy for Millie will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2015 at HOLY SPIRIT/HOLY NAME CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly. Fr. Bob Kollath will be officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of mass.
