Mildred E. Weber

Mildred Weber, 97, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, February 26, 2010 at St. Paul Home. She was born on August 10, 1912 in Menasha, the daughter of the late William and Anna (Muehlenbein) Auer. Mildred graduated from West DePere High School, Outagamie County Teachers College and UW-Oshkosh. On May 16, 1938, she married Michael J. Weber at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mildred began her teaching in a one room school house and finished her career as a special education school teacher in the Kimberly School System. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Reading Club and after retirement volunteered as a tutor for students in the school. Mildred enjoyed gardening, flowers and working in her yard.

Mildred is survived by her children: D. William Weber, Fremont, California; Judith Weber, Parker, Colorado; Michael (Ada) Weber, DePere and Katherine (Dan) Vandeyacht, Kaukauna; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Weber; daughter, Mary Ann Weber; brothers: Fr. John, Norbert and William Auer and sisters: Lorraine Auer and Annette Witt.

The funeral liturgy for Mildred will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Father Tom Pomeroy will be officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Monday at the Fargo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until the time of the prayer service at 7:00 pm and again at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of mass. Memorials are appreciated to St. Paul Elder Services.
