Mike Goodchild

Mike Goodchild, age 58 of Fond Du Lac, formerly Appleton, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Mike was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1959, son of the late Vincent and Gladys (Cornell) Goodchild.

He is survived by his loving wife: Karen Goodchild; a son: Michael (Erica) Goodchild and granddaughter: Ainslee; Karen's children: Brittney (Mark) Pauley and Alex Fickel; two sisters: Anne Marie Cronin and Theresa Kligge; four brothers: Vincent (Linette) Goodchild, James (Patricia) Goodchild, Joseph (Laurie) Goodchild, and Kevin (Darlene) Goodchild. There are also several nieces and nephews, as well as Karen's parents: Judith and Ambrose Jazdzewski and their extended family.

Mike proudly served as a member of the United States Navy for four years being honorably discharged as a Machinist Mate 2.

In 2010, he married Karen Jazdzewski (Fickel), and together the couple enjoyed time together on their motorcycles, camping, and bowling. With Mike's achievement of Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, he worked in quality control and continuous improvement.

A memorial mass for Mike will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday morning, April 24, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette Street in Appleton, with Fr. Thomas Farrell officiating.
