Loving husband, father, brother, age 58, died on Sunday, August 17, 2003.
Mike was born in Austin, Texas on August 28, 1944, son of the late Roger and Mabel (Mason) Herman. He married Charlotte Bunnell on December 31, 1988. Mike was employed as a pipe fitter at the James River Paper Company for 25 years. He loved to hunt, especially for ducks and deer. Mike also enjoyed fishing at Carrol Lake Campground in Wisconsin. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Charlotte; children, Christopher Herman, Combined Locks; Ssg. Patricia (Ssg.Steve) Defau, Germany (US Air Force); Brenda Vaassen and friend Keith Donar, Dickeyville, Wisconsin; Burdette (Dale) Richard, Georgia; Bonnie Strebe, Green Bay; Brian Strebe, Combined Locks; 3 brothers, Roger (Sandy) Herman, Mason, Michigan; Charles (Debra) and James (Janine) Herman, Menasha; his sister, Melanie (Mike) Houge, Brighton, Colorado; 14 grandchildren; aunts, Lillian Herman. Elva Herman; Joyce Schmitt; step-mother Arlene Broughton; mother-in-law Becky Bunnel; brothers-in-law, Mike (Linda) and Bobby (Nancy) Bunnell; and sister-in-law, Cheryl (Milt) Larrabe. Mike was preceded in death by his nephew Justin and father-in-law, Robert Bunnell. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 724 East South River Street, Appleton, with Rev. Jane Weeden officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on
Saturday, August 23 from 9 until 10:45 a.m.
