Harry, I only learned of your son's death when I saw your FB post. I am so very sorry and pray God's peace and love will surround you in these dark days. The video is beautiful.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to Becky and the Porath family and friends of Mike. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father gives us hope at Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. May these promises from Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) bring you comfort. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 11:23-25)

This is a very heartfelt and beautiful video of Michael and his family. We must remember the good times because they are the only ones that count. God has taken him home and he is at peace. Jesus died for our sins so Michael died in his good grace. He will be missed until we meet him again, in the kingdom which God has prepared for us all.

Harry and Lois, Becky and family, so sorry to hear about the significant loss you are enduring. I worked with Harry many years at St. Elizabeth's Rehab. I can still hear the many times Harry would share memories and parental challenges about Michael. May you all be blessed with strength to carry on. I pray you can continue to see Michael's spirit in his beautiful daughters, and in each other.

Mike and I were good friends during high school. We had many experiences together as a part of the Faith Lutheran Church youth group. He was always kind, sweet. And caring to everyone around him. Though we drifted apart after high school I always thought of him fondly. I am praying for peace for him and his family.

Mike, Dana and I met at the San Antonio church youth gathering back in 1995. I haven't seen them in quite some time, but I always remember Mike being a kind, caring, gentle and funny guy. He always had a smirk on his face and could certainly make people laugh. A great guy gone way too soon! Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. May he rest in peace!

I can't even put into words how sad I am to hear this. Mike was a kind and gentle soul in work and play, completely absent of any ill will, malicious intent or thought. The absence of his light and spirit in this ever challenging world will be beyond noticeable. We are all far better people for having known him and sharing in his good nature. Rest easy, my friend. Your spirit will live on in all of us. God bless.
