Michael Jay "Mickey" Bartel

February 21, 1949 — April 3, 2019

Michael J. Bartel, 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. He was born on February 21, 1949, in Waupaca, the son of Raymond and Gertrude (Schulke) Bartel. Mickey had along journey with diabetes and health issues and is now at peace with the Lord. He worked for Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 10 years, and then Miller Electric Mfg. for over 25 years. Mickey was married to Rhonda Roepcke on July 27, 1969. He enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers, and attended Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Menasha, and volunteered in many areas there.

Mickey is survived by his 3 sons: Paul (Jodi) Bartel, Ryan (Heather) Bartel, and Chad Bartel; 4 grandchildren: Lukas, Brynn, Austin, and Spencer Bartel; 3 siblings: Larry and Tom (Elaine) Bartel, and Cheryl Moak; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law: Michael Moak.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Mount Calvary Church, N8728 S. Coop Road, Menasha. Visitation will be Sunday at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
