Michael J. Pfefferle

Michael John Pfefferle of Appleton passed away at the age of 50 on July 4th, 2021, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Appleton on May 14, 1971, the son of John and Lynn C. Pfefferle. Mike was a graduate of Xavier High School and Marquette University. On September 14, 2002, Mike was

joined in holy marriage with Lydie Mesa. The impact of this great man and wonderful wife resulted in an incredible legacy; Charlie, Sam, and Chloe. His life centered on faith, family, and friends.

Mike’s devotion to his family was evident in all aspects of daily life; he spent countless hours sharing his passions of basketball and fly fishing with his kids. Mike was always found in a gym or on a field coaching or supporting his kids in all of their sporting events. Love shined through in all that he did.

Mike had many loyal, lifetime friends. He always made time for fun at Packer games, annual fishing trips, and spending time at his cabin in Minong, which was his special place to unwind.

President of Pfefferle Companies Inc., Mike found an extended family at work. They will miss him for the respect and dignity that he showed to everyone. He was instrumental in the success of the company and the sustained growth over the years.

An enthusiastic volunteer and donor, his generosity spanned the community and to individuals that were less fortunate. His charitable works were varied and extensive. He devoted much of his free time and energy coaching his kids and their teammates.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Lydie; sons, Charlie and Sam; daughter, Chloe; parents, John and Lynn; sisters and brother-in-laws Anne (James) Walkowski and Amy (Eric) Oelhafen; brother-and-sisters in-law Todd Frazier (Susan); Lorie Mesa (Mat Brouillard), and Paula Weber (Stephan), father and mother in-law, Frank and Marie Mesa, as well as many nieces and nephews (Joseph, Lauren, and Mae Walkowski, Emma, Eddie, and Luke Oelhafen, Noah, Ty, and Morgan Frazier, and Jacob Brouillard) and countless friends and family who loved him deeply, including his dog, Cooper.
