You left us 6 years ago today. This is the saddest day for me every year. You were my world. I think about you every day. I know your looking down on me but that doesn't make me miss you any less. I love you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new. We thought of you yesterday, And the days before that too. We think of you in silence, We often speak your name. Now all we have is memories, And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake, In which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, We have you in our hearts.

They tell me that I should stop being sad about the past and try to think about the good things that are going on in my life right now.. but really the only thing that makes me truely happy is my children and thinking about Maurice.. He is what helps me make it through the day and makes me cry.. but only cause I miss him so.. There will never be another person like him.. ever. He was unique in everyway and no one could ever make me feel as loved as he has.. I love him!

It's 2am.. I sit awake thinking of you and all the time we shared together... I am what I am today because of you.. I more than miss you... I don't know how to explain it.. I think of you every second.. I would do anything to have just one more moment with you.. I love you.

You will forever be my true love.. Or like you used to tell me all the time.. Even when I'm old and grey.. You will always be my boo.
Thomas Koplin left a message on April 6, 2009:
Maurice's smile and enthusiasm will be missed. I still remember his excitement when he won his first amateur bout in Oshkosh on May 11, 2002. He was able to stop Eric Smith of Waukesha with his quick hand speed. His excitement and positive attitude were still there when I saw him win the Wisconsin 141 pound novice division championship in Marshfield on Jan. 19, 2003, where he stopped another opponent with his speed. His last bout was in Oshkosh, May 10, 2003, and I still remember his huge smile when he earned the Outstanding Boxer award. He never was defeated in the ring. It is a great sadness to have his young life cut short. Few young men can model such a positive attitude about life for others to follow. His willingness to be the first "boxer" image to help launch WisconsinBoxing.com in 2002 for the benefit of all young athletes statewide will forever be appreciated.
