To the family of Maureen: I have known your mother for many years through the Focolare. She always loved to come to the gatherings. What a beautiful woman, who loved God so much. When I last visited her, which was a couple weeks before she died, she was in such good spirits and so loving, like her usual smiling self. You would never know how sick your mother was, since she offered so much. I would have gone to her funeral, had I known. I am so sorry. I just found out this morning. We have another saint in heaven and I am so happy for her. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

Dear Tom, Pat and Jill, I am so sorry to hear about your mom and am so sorry I won't be able to attend the funeral. We are in Florida now otherwise you know I would be there. I would so much have wanted to see all of you and visit with you. I am thinking of you at this difficult time and you know we have pleasant memories of your mom and her sweet smile and laugh. Gods peace to all of you.
