Truly I was honored to take care of Matt, truly a great man. I shall miss him. God’s peace and unending love to Helena, and God’s compassion and comfort to the Hoffman family. You are in my prayers.

Sorry we can't be at the funeral, but I know Matt is having a great time where he is, probably singing with my brother Danny all those old songs. Kathy and I went to Mass here in Wausau this morning and offered it for our funeral Mass. What a great family those Hoffmann's raised. And we have many good memories, especially at those many family reunions. So the rest of you take care and count your blessings.

Wow. What a great life well lived! Congratulations to the entire Hoffmann / Rittmanic family(s), and to God the Father, for a life so-well lived. It's just such a pleasure to know (or know of) people like Mathias (and his family). May he rest in Peace. Of course we're sorry for this family loss, but it's really Heaven's gain. So we need to behave ourselves at the Mass of Christian Burial, because Mr. Hoffmann will surely be watching over it.
