Maryann Gordon, age 80, of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at The Bridges of Appleton. She was born on July 30, 1934 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late John and Elizabeth (Isaac) Indreica. Maryann was a 1952 graduate of Detroit Pershing High School, and was the Michigan Cherry Blossom Princess in 1957. She was the president of the Northville High School Music Boosters from 1988 until 1989. Maryann was a resident of Northville and Chelsea, Michigan before moving to Appleton to be closer to her daughter. She was a professional secretary for seventeen years for a few U.S. Congressman and Senators. Maryann was involved with the Romanian Orthodox Church in her younger years, and was a member of the Eastern Stars. She enjoyed the arts and loved animals.

Maryann is survived by her daughter Lisa (Matthew) Hodgins; granddaughter Sabrina Hodgins; sister Elizabeth Grainger; niece Sharyn (Mark) Eby; nephews: Bob (Mary) Grainger and Greg, Guy, and Scott Gordon of Pennsylvania. She is further survived by two great nieces and four great nephews, along with her good friends, Jan (Steve) Funke and Diane (Larry) Luty. Maryann was preceded in death by her husband William Gordon, Jr. and a brother-in-law Robert Grainger.

The memorial service for Maryann will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at CHILSON HILLS CHURCH, 4440 Brighton Road, Brighton, Michigan. Rev. Jesse Ping will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 11:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Humane Society or The American Stroke Association are appreciated. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
