Mary M. Miotke

Mary Mae Miotke, formerly of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center in Reedsburg, Wisconsin at the age of 85. She was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on April 1, 1925 to Roy Leigh and Williamina (Borland) McCarter. Mary was a graduate of Lawrence University and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.

She married George Charles Miotke and had two sons: Robert George (Rob) Miotke of Sacramento, California and David Roy Miotke of Reedsburg. Mary was a longtime and active member of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Appleton and was a PEO sister. She loved puzzles, playing bridge, and gardening.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband George in 1999, and daughter-in-law Sherril in 2002.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 803 E. College Avenue in Appleton, with Rev. Kathy Keener – Han officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the memorial service.
