Mary G. “Gerry” Weiland, age 83, died Wednesday morning, August 9, 2006, at Rennes Health Center, in Appleton. Gerry was born in Juneau, Wisconsin, October 16, 1922, the daughter of the late Edwin and Marcella (Holstein) Manning and has been an Appleton resident since 1938. Gerry attended Appleton High School, graduating in 1940. Gerry married Harold Weiland on March 11, 1944 and was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She is survived by her husband; daughters, Cecilia Wiltzius, Menasha; Fran Weiland, Greenville; a son, James (Ellen) Weiland and two grandson, Sam Wiltzius and Ben Weiland, all of Appleton. Friends wishing to give their condolences may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 pm, Sunday, August 13, 2006. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Association.

The family wishes to thank the past and present staff of Rennes Health Center for their loving care of Gerry for many years.
