Age 97, passed away at Rennes Health Center on Friday, October 21, 2011. She was born in Oconto on September 6, 1914 the daughter of the late John and Louise (Cota) DeHut. On June 29, 1946 she married her husband of 52 years, Nolan Seif. Mary was a wonderful homemaker. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and spending many hours in the garden with her flowers, especially her roses.

Mary is survived by her children: Rebecca (Daniel) DeDecker of Combined Locks and Cynthia (Charles) Carr of Combined Locks; grandchildren: Rick DeDecker and Cari (Joe) Van Handel; great-grandchildren: Ethan and Rose Van Handel; sisters: Mabel Helmer and Eleanor (Joseph) Mraz; and brother-in-law, Claude Seif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan; brothers: George, Roy, Ray, Harry and Donald DeHut; sisters: Ruby Lasley, Irene Ragen, Muriel Olson and Louise Scharmann; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

The funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, St. Mary's site, 119 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.

A memorial fund in Mary's name is being established.
