APPLETON, WISCONSIN
Mary C. Procknow, 77 years, passed away September 13, 2018 at her home in Appleton, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 24, 1940 to Erwin and Jeannette Schmidt (Becher) in Appleton Wisconsin. Mary graduated from Appleton High School Class of 1959. She worked for many years at Zwicker’s Knitting and was proud of her Lawrence University Fraternity Boys she cared for as custodian.

Mary and Stewart Procknow were married in 1991. They enjoyed time together travelling. Many times it was with Stewart’s brother and sister-in-law Richard and Shirley Procknow. They would go to Badger and Packer Football games in San Diego or Minnesota, take a holiday in Cancun or venture up-north to Townsend. Most of all she enjoyed family and friends at special times. In her free time Mary was an avid runner and worked out at Vic Tanny.

Mary will be missed by her husband Stu, daughter Jennifer (Dennis) Young, step-sons Daniel (Deb) Procknow and Thomas (Amy) Procknow, grandchildren Christopher Young, Nicole (Jacob) Spangenberg, Erin Young, and Ian Young, greatgrandchildren Willow, Ashton and Jaden, siblings Pat Hendrickson, and Nancy (David) Kirvan and David Schmidt. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her cat Zoey.

Preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey Haines in 1962, brothers James Schmidt and Thomas Schmidt, and brother-in-law Merle Hedrickson.

Private inurnment for Mary to be held at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom, Wisconsin.
