Dave and family, we are so sorry to hear of Mary's passing, but how awesome for her to be in the company of the Savior she loved, forever rejoicing! Oh that we were there! We remember her fondly, with memories of her upbeat, positive personality. Since we lived in the parsonage next door to the St.Paul School's playground, I treasure our little "minute chats" over the playground fence as she passed by, when she was on playground duty, as well as many other fun discussions at other times. She definitely was one who could uplift and encourage others, especially her students. Pastor B. remembers her as an amiable, capable colleague, and Daniel remembers mostly her cheerful ways, and love of music, and appreciated as a student that not only did she teach the kids hymns, but many other songs, and gave the kids free time to pick songs THEY wanted to sing. As parents we are especially thankful for the encouragement, support and assistance Mary gave our son, and other student musicians, in playing his trumpet for special worship services-priceless lessons learned in those experiences! We know you are rejoicing in Mary's victory, but when sadness and loss overwhelm you, think of the words of the Psalmist: "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Ps 34:17-18. We are lifting you up in prayer! Carolyn Baumann , Pastor John and Daniel Cannon Falls, MN
