Mary A. Dahl

Mary Dahl, age 54, was called to the waiting arms of her Savior on Saturday morning, January 12, 2013. Mary was born in Milwaukee on July 24, 1958, daughter of Roland and Sandra (Warm) Stuedemann, who now reside in Neenah. She was a 1976 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, and also graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota in 1980. On June 21, 1980, she married David Dahl in Oshkosh; he survives. Mary knew at a very young age that she was destined to be a teacher and to share the truths of God's word with children. She taught for years at both St. Peter Lutheran School in Freedom and St. Paul Lutheran School in Appleton where she also directed the junior choir. She was a faithful member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, where she served as the head organist. Church music was her true love and calling, and for many years she faithfully contributed her gifts of music for worship services. She enjoyed gardening, camping, and spending time with her two beloved grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mary is survived by her husband: David Dahl of Appleton; four children: Rachel (Matt) Bonson of Appleton and their children Garrett and Zoe; Amy Dahl of Appleton; Joshua Dahl and his fiancée Andrea Miller of Eau Claire; and Christy Dahl of Appleton. Mary also leaves behind a sister and three brothers: Barbara (Barry) Bernard and their family, John (Ebba) and their family, Mark (Jenny) and their family, and Robert (Molly) and their family; two uncles: Howard Warm and Ronald (Joanne) Stuedemann; and two cousins: Paul and David Stuedemann and their families.

The Christian Funeral for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2012 at ST. JOHN EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N3505 Highway 47 in Appleton, with Rev. Jeffrey Suhr officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
