Marvin C. Sartorius

August 11, 1949 — January 14, 2004

Age 54, died Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Marvin was born August 11, 1949 in Marinette, son of the late Marvin and Esther (Schroeder) Sartorius. In his younger years, Marv worked for Stokely – Van Camp in Appleton, and later delivered carpet all over Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Most recently, he was employed by Fox Valley Cab, but was forced to retire in May of 2003 when his health failed. Marv had served in the United States Army, and always enjoyed fishing with his friends Don and June.

Marv is survived by two sisters: Donna (Butch) Rusch of Appleton and Jean (Leonard) Wendler of Neenah; an aunt: Hilda Schroeder of Peshtigo; two brothers-in-law: James Smith of Green Bay and Jerome Spatz of Black Creek; a special friend Judy Huntley of Clintonville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Darlene Smith and Nancy Spatz.

Funeral services will be held on at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2004 at the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond Street in Appleton with Rev. John Baumann of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call directly at the cemetery chapel on Monday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service.
