Marsha Lee Jenks

June 7, 1951 — January 28, 2018

Marsha Jenks, age 66 of Appleton, passed away early on Sunday morning, January 28, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Marsha was born in Anderson, Indiana on June 7, 1951, daughter of the late Norman and Novella (Bailey) Lawson.

Marsha had a very strong and loving relationship with the Lord. Her life was never easy, but she fully relied on God to guide her. Marsha was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend. Her children were her life and she took great pride in making sure they were taken care of, protected, happy, and loved. Marsha had a crazy sense of humor, loved to have fun, and believed in seizing the moment. She was the life of the party, and was blessed with an amazing singing voice. Even now, we know she is in heaven singing His praises.

Marsha leaves behind four loving children: Tracy (Scottie) Davis of Black Creek; Troy (William Harrison) Vallafskey of Appleton; Trina Watson of Appleton; and Koni (Paul) Cruz of Shawano. There are also ten loving grandchildren: Vanessa (Hunter) White, Arian (fiancé Nik Thyrion) Watson, Annalecia Vallafskey, Paul (Jayce) Cruz, Jr., Alexander Aviles, Ceasar Aviles, Rylee (fiancé Zachary Engel) Davis, Asja Vallafskey, Sofiya Cruz, and Avery Vallafskey. Her dear great-grandchildren include Bentley White, Ariana Cruz, Jeremiah Aviles, and Mariano Cruz. Marsha is further survived by a sister: Victoria (Craig) TeBeest of Waupun; a brother: Michael (Linda) Baxter of Fond du Lac; two much-loved Godchildren: Kaylynne Boelter and Sofiya Cruz; and her dear family friends: Miguel (Adela) Hernandez, Sylvia Hernandez, and Andrea Burnham. Marsha is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Tony Wilson, nephews Michael Baxter and Curtis Bowers, grandsons Dominic Vallafskey Cruz and Geovanni Cruz. Also waiting for her in heaven is her faithful friend Kenya.

In accordance with Marsha’s wishes, cremation will take place with a memorial service to be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton, with Pastor G. Manns officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Following the service, a traditional Irish Wake will be held. More information will be available at the funeral home

Red was Marsha’s favorite color, and in the interest of making her memorial a celebration of her life, all in attendance are welcome to wear something red.

The family would like to thank everyone in the ICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton for the love, care, and concern shown to Marsha and the family. Special thanks to Angie, who was at her side when she breathed her last.
