Marlene Revior Hubers

November 2, 1936 — July 15, 2001

Age 64, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2000, with her family at her side, following a brief illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and pending.Marlene was born November 2, 1936 in Combined Locks, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Menting) Revoir. On October 13, 1956, she married Martin Hubers at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute; he survives.

Marlene was employed for many years as a cook at Marty’s Place in Kimberly, and after her retirement enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. Chick had many hobbies. She enjoyed fishing up north with her sons, and crafting and sewing for the Angel Arts and Craft Show. Her contributions will be greatly missed. She also looked forward to “signing in” every Wednesday night.

Survivors include her husband: Martin Hubers of Kimberly; six children: Cindy (David) Wallace of Little Chute, Dawn (George) Schmidt of Darboy, Jo (Lori) Hubers of Darboy, Mark (Janet) Hubers of Darboy, Mom’s best friend Shelly (Bruce) Zeinert of Little Chute, and Sherry (Rick) Bevers of Freedom; twelve grandchildren: Amanda, Christy, and Bradly Wallace; Matthew, Michael, and Michelle Schmidt; Lukas and Rebecca Hubers; Jeffrey and Jennifer Zeinert; Brice and Jacob Bevers; a great-granddaughter: Caitlin Wallace; a sister: Betty DeBroux of Little Chute; a sister-in-law: Jane Revoir of Kimberly; two brothers-in-law: Mark Recker of Appleton and Paul Recker of Appleton. Chick was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ernest (Grace) Revoir, Donald Revoir, Pat Revoir, Dave Revoir, a sister Kay (Wilbur) Pomeroy; a grandson Ryan Bevers; a brother-in-law: Arnold (Ann) Hubers, and by sisters-in-law: Min Lucassen, Ann Recker, Nettie Recker, and Elizabeth Hubers.

A memorial funeral liturgy for Marlene will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at HOLY ANGELS CATHOLIC CHURCH. W5831 County Road KK in Darboy. Inurnment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 5 PM until the hour of the liturgy.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed to Holy Angels Parish in Darboy.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to those who cared for Chick. They include Dr. Montgomery Elmer, Nurse Nancy Van Sambeek, and the entire medical staff on 4 North at Appleton Medical Center. Thank you for your efforts over these past days. Mom could have been in no better hands.
