I am so sorry to read about the loss of your precious Marlee, it is always difficult to lose a loved one, but it is especially tragic to lose them so early in life. Please take comfort in knowing that death is only a temporary part of life. (John 5:28,29) Although your time with Marlee was cut short, you can have the hope of being reunited with her forever, under perfect circumstances and health. (Revelation 21:4) In the meantime, even though the pain may at times seem insurmountable, rest assured that God will give you the strength necessary to endure. (Psalm 94:17-19) Please accept my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences.

Sydney, Eileen, and Scott; Jeremy and I are both heartbroken by the news of Marlees' passing. We both have wonderful memories of her from her soccer days and especially from her time as team manager for the Varsity Boys. She was very charismatic and always ready with kind words and an infectious smile. I remember the cupcakes that she frequently baked as a treat for the boys. I also remember how kind she was on the bleachers watching Sydney's games. She would always take time to come sit with me for a bit and chat about life in general. She always left me with a warm, happy feeling. She touched our lives and I will always be grateful for having had a chance to have known her.

Marlee will forever hold a special place in our heart. One of the greatest gifts she gave us over the past couple of years was the peace of mind when she was caring for our children. They always looked forward to having Marlee babysit because she was a big kid herself. Her smile, giving heart, and way with kids will forever be missed. We love you Marlee!!!

Marlee was an amazing young lady. She was a very bright light in this dark world. Even though she was struggling with her own internal darkness, you wouldn't have known it whenever you were around her because she was always smiling and always kind! I enjoyed working with her at the YMCA and will never forget how beautiful of a person she was. I'm so sorry for this tremendous loss to your family! Please know that you are loved and that the Lord is near the brokenhearted!

Eileen, Scott and Sydney. My heart aches for all of you and everyone who loved her, including myself, Craig Jake and the rest of the Bassuener Boys.. From the beginning she showed to be such a powerhouse of a person. Her personality was unmatched and I could see how much people loved being around her, by watching Jake and their little buddies playing together. I really enjoyed watching Jake and her play together and was so happy to have reconnected with her over the years. I loved Marlee, as it is obvious everyone who met her did. Marlee and your whole family have kept a special place in my heart as you were our first friends, in kind as we entered our early years of parenthood. Having both of our first two born so close together just made it extra special. The memory of all of fun of those first years together have been strong since the news of her passing and so has the sense of loss this has been for all of us. I would never profess to understand your sense of loss, but want to let you know it is felt by all of us as we all grapple to get a sense of understanding why this had to be her course of life. That a force as strong as Marlee would go away far too soon for any of our liking. Those questions and answers we can only hope will be revealed to us someday. Until then, my thoughts are with you all and my greatest wish this Christmas is that you somehow find peace in this experience and that all of the best memories that you shared together remain bright and strong and comfort you during these darkest days and moments now and into all of your futures. Love and hugs to all of you.
