I am so sorry about the loss of Mark. We worked together at Aurora in infection prevention and before that, emergency management. I always admired his skill and compassion. We both were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about the same time and I have said many prayers for strength and a cure. Hopefully that day will come soon for others. Again, my heart aches for all of you.

I was honored to know Mark for nearly 30 years through his many roles in EMS in the Fox Valley region. He was always the utmost professional and, more importantly, a true gentleman. Rest in peace my friend. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Oh Carrie… Jim and I are so sorry to hear of Mark’s death. He was an extraordinary man who adored you and the boys so so much; that was evident in all he did and said. Our hearts break as we know the deep void he’s left for you and the rest of us who were privileged to know him. We have great memories of mission trips where his genuine and approachable leadership was so valued. I remember when we led a group of (at times) rambunctious young people together- he always had a way of keeping us all laughing and going when things got complicated or stressful. I also remember telling him that learning calligraphy was a hope of mine. One day shortly after he pulled out a small calligraphy kit he brought and taught me his art. What a beautiful human! Your love for each other and the memories you’ve created with your boys will never end. Those imprints will stay on your hearts, allowing him to never truly leave. You are loved. ❤️ - Jean & Jim
