Marjorie Mary Corey

October 1, 1929 — July 21, 2001

Age 71, entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 21, 2001 after a very courageous battle with cancer. Marge was born on October 1, 1929 to the late James and Marjorie Gaffney in Pound, Wisconsin. Marge was married to the late Harold E. Corey on August 25, 1951, and during their 49 years of marriage they had 11 children. She was always there for whatever you needed. Her doors were open to everyone. Being the wonderful cook that she was, upon entering her home, one of her questions was “Are you hungry”. Every child that knew her will remember her famous buttered sugar bread and cinnamon rolls. In younger days she enjoyed playing softball and shuffle board. Marge loved to watch Packer games and if they were losing, would turn the TV off and pray the rosary in hopes that they would win. She enjoyed playing bingo and the times she spent at the cottage with her family. Mom was the only lady allowed in Deer Camp” Рto cook for them, of course. She was actively involved with the American Legion Auxiliary and Christian Mothers. She was dedicated to her religious faith and was very active with her prayer and rosary groups.

A Mother’s job is never done,
It’s full-time work, it’s true.
No matter how much work she does
There’s always more to do.

She turned us to the sunshine
And encouraged us to dream.
She taught us truth and confidence
And wiped away our tears.

Her constant good example
Taught us right from wrong.
She provided us with all the tools to
Stand up and be strong.

If heaven grants a special crown
To one who helps another,
Then we are sure the greatest one
Will be for you – – our Mother!
