Marion L. Reinke

Marion (nee Reetz) Reinke, age 84 died on May 29, 2012 at the Appleton Medical Center. Marion was born March 23, 1928 in Bonduel, Wisconsin daughter of the late Louie Reetz and Linda (Rafoth) Reetz Moore. Over the years, Marion was employed by Wisconsin Bell, Zwicker's Knitting Mill, TelSec, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, retiring in 2001. Marion loved to make homemade candy and enjoyed dipping chocolate for family and friends. She was known as the “candy lady” at her retirement community home. Marion also loved to knit and dining out bi-monthly with her former telecommunication coworkers from Thrivent.

Marion is survived by three children: Marcia Borchardt of Green Bay; R. Brian Reinke of Appleton; and Brad (Deborah) Reinke of Gilbert, Arizona; two grandchildren: Meredith Poindexter and Andrea Borchardt; two step-grandchildren: Kristi (Kris) Thome and Dan (Stephanie) Adelman; four step-great-grandchildren: Cori and Cadence Adelman and McKenna and Emerson Thome; a sister: Dorothy Ogg of Rochester, Minnesota; a brother: Edward (Donna) Moore of Appleton; a sister-in-law: Helen Reetz of Louisville, Kentucky; as well as a niece, nephews, and other friends.

A memorial service for Marion will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 E. Florida Avenue in Appleton, with Rev. Benjamin Berger officiating.
