Marilyn J. Schubert

August 21, 1926 — May 15, 2017

Marilyn Jean Schubert, 90 years, passed away peacefully at Cherry Meadows hospice facility in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was born August 21, 1926 to her parents John and Frances (Winarski) Schubert in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Menasha High School, Class of 1944 and enjoyed visiting with her classmates at their reunions.

Marilyn was a regular at the YMCA in Neenah and was a participant in the water aerobics class. She was a life-long member of St Patrick Catholic Church and volunteered serving food for many events. Her personal favorite activity was to travel the world. She touched the earth in Africa, Paris, Ireland, England, Viet Nam, New Zealand and Alaska. Marilyn was an avid bird watcher having lived on the lake for many years. She would spend time scanning the sky in the hopes of spotting ducks, eagles, pelicans, loons and many other birds. Often she would go for long car rides to look at the beautiful gardens throughout the valley. Marilyn was a retiree of Marathon Paper Co.

Marilyn will be missed by her friends she met as a teenager, Etta, Chag, and Gib, as well as many other friends. Special thank you to all of her neighbors and friends who looked over her throughout the years.

A Funeral Service for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 3 pm at Wichmann Funeral Home – Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. Pastoral Leader Mary Krueger officiating. Private interment St Margaret Mary Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at Wichmann Funeral Home – Laemmerich Chapel from 2 pm until time of Service.
