Marilyn J. Resch

Marilyn J. Resch, age 88, of Menasha, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018. She was born on February 23, 1930 in Neenah, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Alice (Burr) Laus. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1948.

Marilyn married Jerome Resch at St. Mary Catholic Church on October 2, 1954. This October they would have celebrated 64 years of marriage.

She and Jerome shared a passion for traveling. They enjoyed their many travels throughout the states but their trip to Italy was their biggest accomplishment. Together they also spent many memorable weekends up north at their cabin fishing. Marilyn stayed active with her exercise classes and volunteering as a Pink Lady at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the Nicolet Ladies as well as in the younger years she was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter’s troop. In her free time Marilyn enjoyed reading and planning family dinners. Above all she cherished time spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome; her three children, Steve Resch, David (Bonnie) Resch and Karen Resch; two grandchildren, Joseph Resch and Bryan (fiancée Megan Rimkus) Resch and great-grandson, Greyson Resch. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie and many other dear family members.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second Street in Menasha. The visitation will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass with Fr. Paider officiating. Interment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Menasha.
